Yet another reason to love George and Amal Clooney!

The couple, who are getting a little annoying by being so charismatic (him) /saving the world (her), have charmed us again by adopting a new dog. The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society in California shared the news and a family photo of the group, also including their other rescue Louie.

“It was a happy day at the shelter for Millie! She is a four-year-old Basset Hound mix with gorgeous looks that would land her on any Hush Puppies commercial!” the org posed on its website. “Despite those adorable googly eyes, pretty long ears, and shorty legs, Millie was found without a home and hoping for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel earlier this month. Today her luck changed for the better when she was adopted by George and Amal Clooney."

The story continued: "They were searching for a basset hound and saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder. They did a ‘meet and greet’ with her and spent time introducing her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie. It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together!”

The very sweet photo showed George, rocking a Casamigos Tequila shirt (natch!), with his arm around his new pet. His attorney wife, looking as stylish as ever in a star dress, sneaks, and shades, held onto Louie.

No word on where Einstein was during the adoption. He is a black cocker spaniel that Clooney adopted in 2010 after falling for the once-obese dog online. Clooney later shared that he rubbed meatballs on his shoes prior to his interview with the dog rescue group so that Einstein would like him and he’d get to adopt him.

Congrats to the happy family, especially Millie. She goes from begging for food scraps to mansions in Los Angeles, Lake Como, Italy, and Oxfordshire, England. Talk about a lucky dog.
