George W. Bush to Write Biography of George H. W. Bush

George W. Bush has chosen a topic for his next book: His father.

The 43rd President of the United States will pen a biography on George H.W. Bush, 41st U.S. president, decorated WWII aviator, noted skydiving enthusiast, and wearer of patterned socks

"George H.W. Bush is a great servant, statesman, and father," Bush said in a statement. "I loved writing the story of his life, and I hope others enjoy reading it."

The book, according to Crown Publishing, will cover much of Elder Bush's life and career, spanning his rise in the Texas oil business, his work in the U.S. Congress, his time as director of the CIA, and of course, his term in the White House. But this biography will also cover Younger Bush's perspective on his father's influence over his life, including his "childhood in West Texas to his early campaign trips with his father, and from his decision to go into politics to his own two-term presidency."

"As the only father and son to each have served as President of the United States since John and John Quincy Adams, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush occupy a unique position in history," said Crown publisher Maya Majvee in a statement.

The father-son duo has certainly spent a significant amount of time with each other after their presidencies ended, and we hope Bush will cover these moments in the biography. As a refresher, here's a look back at some memorable post-presidencies father-son moments we're hoping Bush traces:

This photo, taken December 26, 2008, was shortly after Younger Bush ducked to avoid being hit by a shoe, and shortly before his presidency ended. We hope Bush will cover advice Elder Bush gave him in the wake of Shoe-gate.

Here are the Bushes at a football game in Texas. Perhaps Bush will touch on what Elder Bush was so excited about in this shot.

Fine, that's not George Bush, that's Taylor Swift. But imagine what Younger Bush could get out of his father about this meeting: Elder Bush's favorite Taylor Swift song? Elder Bush's opinion on Taylor's abandonment of country music? Notice Elder Bush's lack of patterned socks. Maybe his fashion sense started with this monumental meeting.

The Bushes held each other's hand at the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas in 2013. We bet there are many more photos like this one that will be featured in the book.

Nothing beats this moment in father-son post-presidencies history. Painting yourself and your father? That's dedication.

The biography will hit shelves November 11, Veteran's Day.
