Giannena beat Olympiakos 2-0

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Two early goals helped Giannena beat already-crowned champion Olympiakos 2-0 in the Greek league Sunday.

Alexis Michail scored just 40 seconds into the game with a header and Emiljano Vila added a close-range shot in the 14th.

Despite the loss, its fourth in the last seven games, Olympiakos is 14 points ahead of second-place PAOK, which beat Atromitos 2-0. Giannena climbed to ninth place and ensured their presence in the top flight next season.

Heading into next Sunday's final round, eight teams are fighting to avoid relegation and joining last-place Aris, which drew 2-2 at Asteras, in the second division next season.

Elsewhere, Panathinaikos beat Levadiakos 3-1, OFI defeated Xanthi 3-2, Kalloni beat Panthrakikos 2-0, Platanias beat Panetolikos 1-0, Apollon beat Ergotelis 1-0 and Veria defeated Panionios 2-1.
