Giants sign DT Thomas

The Giants signed former Broncos DT Marcus Thomas to a one-year deal on Thursday, ESPN’s Josina Anderson first reported.

Thomas played in 12 games with 11 starts last season in Denver and recorded a career-high 43 tackles. Thomas did not miss a game in his first four seasons with the Broncos and started every game in 2008.

The Giants are thin at defensive tackle after placing Shaun Rogers on injured reserve with a blood clot. DT Marvin Austin has been out with a back injury.
