Young girl narrowly avoids falling glass outside Ukraine stadium

A young girl narrowly escaped debris that fell from a stadium after an explosion in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, where pro-Russian forces have been battling Ukrainian government troops.

Surveillance footage taken from a camera outside Donbass Arena on Monday shows a shock wave from the blast knocking the girl down just seconds before a glass facade crashes to the ground, steps away from the unidentified child. An adult rushes to pull her out of harm's way as huge shards of glass shatter on the pavement.

There was no immediate word on the girl's condition, but it does not appear that she was seriously hurt.

According to the BBC, the stadium was being used to distribute aid to local women since recent shelling caused the FC Shaktar Donetsk soccer team to relocate to Kiev.
