    New Girl: Carla Gugino To Play Schmidt's 'Sex Freak' Boss; Rob Reiner & Jamie Lee Curtis To Play Jess' Parents

    "Political Animals'" Carla Gugino will soon play an animal of a different nature -- a beast in the boudoir.

    The actress is heading to FOX's "New Girl," where she'll take on the role of Schmidt's (Max Greenfield) sex-crazed new boss, Emma, according to Entertainment Weekly's Inside TV blog.

    Emma and Schmidt will engage in relationship reminiscent of E L James' erotic BDSM novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey," after Schmidt is forced to sign a contract binding him to his "sweet-seeming" but "high-powered sex freak" new boss, the blog reported.

    In additional "New Girl" casting news, fans of the FOX series will soon meet the couple responsible for bringing Jess (Zooey Deschanel) into the world.

    Rob Reiner and Jamie Lee Curtis will guest star as Jess' parents, Bob and Joan, respectively, in the comedy's Thanksgiving episode, according to TV Line.

    The adorkable gal will attempt to reunite Bob and Joan (who are divorced), the website reports.

    Also invited to Thanksgiving? Schmidt's cousin (who will be played by the hilarious Rob Riggle), who also goes by "Schmidt."
