Girl Scout Blasts Transgender Policy with a Cookie Boycott

Too bad the kids cant have something without adults and their own agendas screwing it up

I quit girl scouts at a young age because, despite being a "biological" female (as many of you are so fond of saying), I found it to be a waste of time. While my brother in the Boy Scouts got to learn about survival, starting fires, and shooting rifles, I got patches for cooking, answering the phone sweetly, and making jewelry. Essentially, Girl Scouts was training me to become a wife. In second grade, some female friends and I left the Brownies and started our own group, using the Boy Scouts guide for reference in our activities. We were lucky to have parents that supported us. We weren't making a political statement, never contacted a news team, we just wanted to spend time doing things that interested us. By the way, I am very feminine and am newly a wife but I am also a doctor, and worked as a survival and firearms instructor through college. The point? If you don't like how a group like the Girl Scouts works, leave it behind and do your own thing. The most successful people are the ones who break the mold...

Kudos to both youngsters for standing up for what they believe is right. That's one of the things that makes our country great.

Perhaps they should just create the 'Other Scouts' organization and be done with it.....

I am old and no doubt wrong on this but, IMO, sometimes kids are just to young to be exposed to such life changing problems. A child has only a few years to experience childhood and school. Let them have fun. Once they get out of school, there will be problems enough for everyone.

I agree. Remember when people use to stand up for what is right. Now, most just roll over and are afraid to speak up.

When I was growing up, I was very much a tomboy. I played hockey and football with the boys, I dressed more like the boys because I wasn't into pink, flowery, and rainbows, but at no point did my parents or anyone else label me transgendered. It takes far more than "feeling" or "acting" like the opposite gender to make one transgendered.

I am an advocate of the GLBQT community, and I am also an advocate for being you - not who someone else defines or expects you to be. Most people understand that a 7 year old is not capable of fully understanding sexuality or giving informed consent to have a sex change operation. Just because this child's parents have chosen to label him as transgendered because he may feel like a girl does NOT make him transgendered. It may turn out that he is in fact transgendered, but he also might not. Right now, it just comes across as his parents wanting to make a political statement. Again, this child is only seven, and I'm pretty sure his gender orientation and sexuality aren't all that clear to him yet.

I'm sick and tired of the biased article yahoo puts on here! and why are they involving a young girl orgaization with politics??

As a former Brownie and Junior in the Girl Scouts, I'm so glad that somebody is doing something about this.

Sorry, I only buy Girl Scout cookies from actual Girl Scouts. These people have the trademark, but lack the heart. They think pushing an agenda is more important than helping girls. Poor prioritization

it's curious how one can be hailed a hero for being a homosexual, transgendered girl, lesbian or whatever.....but a STRAIGHT girls stands up for what she believes and everyone freaks out. Wow. Double standard???

I think the next census will classify people based on which special needs/victim class they belong to.

These people need to be exiled or worse.

Look, I have a lot of homosexual friends, I don't care if anyone wants to be another sex. But as long as you have male genitals, you are not a girl and should not be in the girl scouts, the same as a child with female genitals should not be in the boy scouts. That is nature at work in the biological sense.

As long as our majority want to allow all one gender groups, and I see nothing wrong with it, then it should stay that way.

For the record, I've not seen the video, but I do have a mesage for Breeze who attacks the girl calling her names. Son, boy, girl, daughter, whatever you may be, you need to learn that when you just attack someone with name calling and insults, it just proves you have nothing intelligent to say!!!!

Remember this is a little 7yr old boy that thinks he's a girl, Next boys will sue over sexual discrimination for not being allowed to join a girls club.

In Greece Pedophiles are considered handicapped now and are allowed to get disability,Does this mean that it's hatred and bigotry for not wanting them to watch your children? Or just common sense, Depends on which poster you ask I geuss.
