    Glen Alex: Official Massage Therapist of the 2011 Lexus of Las Vegas Open

    Glen Alex, CMT, LMT, KTP of The Massage Advantage is the Official Massage Therapist of the 2011 Lexus of Las Vegas Open professional women's tennis tournament. Glen will be onsite to provide Sports and Therapeutic Massage treatments to players.

    Glen Alex, owner/operator of The Massage Advantage, has extensive experience working with professional athletes in tennis, boxing, basketball, and wrestling. With more than 9 years of experience, Glen's resume also includes working with athletes who come to Las Vegas to train, with players at 10 professional tennis tournaments, and travelling with the Bryan Brothers, the #1 doubles team on the ATP Tour with the most titles in history, for 3+ years as their personal Massage Therapist.

    During the Bryan Bros' championship speech at the 2008 Western Southern Group Masters Series event, Mike Bryan proclaimed Glen "the best hands in the business!"

    Experience with tennis players will serve Glen well at the 2011 Lexus of Las Vegas Open, September 25-October 2 at Red Rock Country Club in Las Vegas. Glen knows many of the players from her travels and has informed insight into the muscular issues presented by tennis players in particular, and athletes in general.

    In her Las Vegas private practice, Glen works with recreational athletes, individuals with high levels of stress, and individuals recovering from injury. Her training and intuitive understanding of the body allow Glen to provide individualized and highly skilled treatments to clients to optimize muscle function.

    "I injured my rotator cuff and felt pain when serving. I was not satisfied with my progress after trying other therapy. Then Glen treated me for about 3 weeks with Kinesio Taping and Therapeutic Massages. Thanks to Glen, I was able to play tennis pain-free," said David Dinkins, Jr.

    "Glen has addressed specific issues with my shoulders, legs and back from playing tennis. The relief I experienced always surpassed my expectation. I particularly recommend Glen's technique for stretching out the lower back to all my friends. She's great with Kinesio Taping too," said Janice Leysath.

    Players at the 2011 Lexus of Las Vegas Open will have exclusive access to Glen's caring expertise during the event. Defending champion, Varvara Lepchenko, 2011 US Open Mixed Doubles champion Melanie Oudin, and local favorite Asia Muhammad understand and appreciate the role of recovery in athletic performance.
