Google Postpones Next Week's Samsung Event for Steve Jobs
Google and Samsung had a big launch planned for next week, but have decided to cancel the event last minute in light of Steve Jobs's death, reports AllThingsD's Ina Fried. "We believe this is not the right time to announce a new product as the world expresses tribute to Steve Jobs’s passing," the companies said in a statement. Meanwhile, Jobs's own company doesn't have the same tactic. iPhone 4S presale orders began last night. Apple still has its Steve Jobs memorial as its homepage, but it didn't quite go as far as Apple, keeping its iPhone 4 plans on track.
