Google Slides review

Google Slides allows you to create new presentations, or open, edit, and save existing ones in both Slides and PowerPoint formats. With this program, you can work on your presentations anytime, from anywhere, and then access it later from any device with an Internet connection.

Pros

Creation and collaboration: Not only can you create new presentations on your own through this app, but you can also invite others to collaborate with you. When you open a project to collaboration or share a link to your project with others, you can also decide what actions they can take, including viewing, editing, and commenting. Also, everything you create through this app can be saved online, so you can access it later from another device.

New slide options: Each time you add a new slide, you'll have several options for what format to use. Options include Title and Body, Title and Two Columns, Title Only, Caption, and Blank.

Cons

Text only edits: While any presentation you start or open through this program is completely editable in terms of text, you can't add images or change the colors of the slides. Presentations in PowerPoint format that you access through the app do let you adjust images, but that's as far as you'll get. To create a presentation with images, or to edit anything besides text on an existing one, you'll need to access your project on a computer.

Bottom Line

Google Slides does give you the ability to work on presentations in Slides or PowerPoint format on the go. The interface is clear and streamlined, and the app is free, so there's no harm in trying it out to see if it will work for what you need.
