Governor to re-nominate NH insurance commissioner

Governor to nominate New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Sevigny to new term

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan is nominating Insurance Commissioner Roger Sevigny to a new term and acting Information Technology Commissioner Peter Hastings to head the agency.

Hassan will make the nominations at Wednesday's Executive Council meeting.

Sevigny, who lives in Manchester, has led the Insurance Department since he was appointed to the post in 2003 by Gov. Craig Benson.

Hastings, who lives in Derry, has served as acting commissioner since October. He has filled various positions in the agency since 2007.
