Graffiti Prank Proves Revenge Is A Dish Best Served On Google Maps

It’s payback six years in the making, but some hidden graffiti left by a disgruntled tip employee has finally paid off.

Someone working at the Leighton Buzzard Tidy Tip scrawled ‘EAT SH*T’ on the roof of a building, and it’s now been spotted on Google Maps.

A man who has only recently moved to the area made the amusing find after searching online.

He said: “If you take a look at the Tidy Tip using Google Maps’ aerial view, you can see that someone working there really isn’t very happy with their job.

"We’ve recently moved to the area and I was using Google Maps to try and find where our nearest tip was.

"I thought it was quite funny that someone had gone to so much effort to scrawl such a random comment on the roof."

"The images on Google Maps are relatively new, so I assume it’s still there.”

However a spokesman for Central Beds Council, which runs the site, said: “None of the site staff were aware that the graffiti was there.

"The building in the picture was the old site office which was replaced by a new unit over six years ago.

"Due to the unit in question being replaced over six years ago, before Central Bedfordshire Council was formed, the site manager at Leighton Buzzard Tidy Tip will not be looking into how the graffiti got there given the length of time involved and because all of the staff now working at Leighton Buzzard Tidy Tip were not there six years ago.”

It looks as though Google has now covered up the graffiti too - spoilsports.
