Grain futures mostly rise, livestock prices gain

Corn, oat and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; beef and pork prices also rise

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 3.5 cents to $6.635 a bushel; July corn rose 2.75 cents to $6.6725 a bushel; July oats added 1.75 cent to $3.855 a bushel; while July soybeans jumped 14.5 cents to $15.485 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle rose 0.75 cent to $1.2292 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.78 cent to $1.4970 a pound; July lean hogs rose 2.02 cents to $1.0197 cents a pound.
