Officials with the Navarre Beach Fire Rescue Department said the female shark was between 13 and 15 feet long.

The crew on the scene had to use a backhoe to remove the shark and take it to the Marine Park.

Officials there will take blood samples and run other tests before burying it.

About the great white shark

The great white shark is “the world’s largest known predatory fish,” with a torpedo-shaped body and 300 teeth that rip prey before swallowing it whole, the World Wildlife Fund’s website states.

The largest white sharks weigh between 1,500 and 4,000 pounds and measure up to 21 feet long, according to Brittanica.com.

These carnivores’ diets vary, based on the shark’s age and size, but but they typically prey on “crustaceans, mollusks, sea birds, sea turtles, and marine mammals, including sea lions, seals, dolphins, and even some whales,” the National Geographic’s website states.
