The greatest coach in high school basketball history still sweeps the court

Ranked No. 24 nationally by MaxPreps, St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.) and legendary head coach Bob Hurley meet Bishop Eustace tonight.

That means fans will find Hurley sweeping the floor prior to the game once again — a bit of a tradition apparently and one that was noted by Adrian Wojnarowski is his bestselling book "The Miracle of St. Anthony."

No task too small for Hurley, who owns a career record of 1,125-118 (.905 winning percentage) and has guided the Friars to 27 state titles. His win total is third best in high school boys basketball history.

This year's St. Anthony team is 23-1 and has rattled off 19 wins in a row since a December loss to nemesis Roselle Catholic. Hurley's teams are known for stifling defense and the 2014-15 Friars are upholding that tradition, allowing just 37.8 points per game.
