Groupon review

Groupon's Android app makes it easy to browse for new deals and keep track of already-purchased ones.

Pros

Easy to browse: Groupon's UI design makes it easy to browse for new deals. A menu at the top of the screen lets you narrow down your searches by featured items, goods, hotels, and businesses in your desired zip code. You can even drill down by categories, such as food and drink, spas, home services, fitness, and lots more.

Keep track of your deals: The My Groupons feature makes it easy to keep track of all of your purchases, so that you can present them when the time comes. Just sign in using your Groupon or Facebook credentials, and you'll see everything listed, including active and used Groupons.

Read the fine print: One you tap a deal, the Groupon's details are spelled out, including a highlight of the business itself, as well as a map, phone number, and access to the business' website. You'll also see a section that spells out the details of the deal to avoid any confusion.

Cons

Prices aren't always accurate: We found a deal for a local gastropub that was advertised for $12 for $20 on the main page; however, when we tapped the deal to find out more details, it turns out that it was sold out, and the only available option was a $22 for $40 coupon. The app needs to update its prices accordingly if certain deals are sold out.

Bottom Line

If you're a fan of deals or a Groupon regular, the Android app version is must-have software that won't disappoint. Its friendly design will appeal to all users.
