Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack to be Released on Cassette

Prepare your boomboxes for awesomeness. Billboard announced today that the soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on cassette tape. The soundtrack has already come to CD, digital release, and LP, but now it's coming to the format that Star Lord wanted fans to hear it in: the glory of cassette tape.

The soundtrack spent two weeks at number one this summer and is the 10th largest selling album of 2014, moving 543,000 units. The cassette version of this soundtrack hits stores on November 17th; however, it will be limited. Disney has not said how many copies will be released but the cassette will be exclusive to the community of independent retailers associated with Record Store Day. Each cassette will come with a digital download version of the album as well.
