    Guidant Financial Pledges 2000 Books on How to Start a Small Business to US Veterans Who Pursue Self-Employment

    David Nilssen, cofounder of Guidant Financial, who co-authored the book, has also joined the International Franchise Association’s VetFran Committee to work with its leadership to help make franchising more accessible to our servicemen and women.

    In addition to providing veterans with the educational materials, Guidant will also offer a 10% discount on their services to help them find funding. Nilssen continued, “To paraphrase President Obama’s jobs speech, our veterans fought for this country, they should not have to fight for a job or other opportunities for gainful employment. Nilssen goes on to say, “12 percent of our clients are veterans and we believe their discipline, commitment and experience makes them tremendous small business owners.”
