Hearthstone for iPad launched globally today!

Hearthstone for iPad finally arrives on Asian shores!

Oh my god it’s finally here! We’ve all been waiting for some time and now it’s finally here. Hearthstone is for iPad was launched globally today! Finally unchained from the confines of your computer, Hearthstone is now playable on your iPad, meaning that it is now playable, anywhere. Hearthstone on the bus? Yes please! Hearthstone on the subway? Oh yeah. Hearthstone whilst driving? Thank god I don’t drive!

After playing with the new Hearthstone app for half an hour this morning I can confirm that it plays like a dream. It looks good, it plays well and it has all the polish expected from Blizzard games.

And don’t worry fellow Hearthstoners, all of your progress from the PC or Mac version of the game will be synched with the iPad version; just log in with your Battle.net details.

If all that wasn’t enough, Blizzard is giving a free pack of cards to anyone who downloads and plays the app. If you are a Hearthstone noob then you need to complete the tutorial (don’t worry, it’s fun) and play a single online match. Returning players just need to play an online game. Even you don’t have an iPad, it might be worth borrowing a friend’s and logging in. Free is free and you never know what game-changing card you might find.

We still have no word on when the Windows tablet, iPhone or Android versions of Hearthstone will be launched, but they are on the way. We will let you know when we have further details.

You can download for free Hearthstone on iPad here.
