Klausner runs the podcast in between professing her love for basset hounds and making small talk with corporate Twitter accounts. At the moment, she's got her eye set on Duke, the golden retriever featured in Bush's Baked Beans commercials.

"I grew up with those ads and I've seen Duke, the dog, for years -- but for some reason it just really occured to him the other night how badly I'd like to pet him," says Klausner.

The idea quickly received encouragement from her Twitter followers. which escalated into a full-on campaign, with assistance from , who created the "25 Million Stron for Julie Klausner To Pet The Bush's Beans Dog." Another Twitter user provided the , which has since made its way around Tumblr.

The multi-platform campaign reached other potential pooches, most specifically from IAMs. After finally reaching Bush's, the response was a graphic of Duke professing his love for Klausner.

Needless to say, the campaign's supporters were not pleased.

More than 24 hours later, Bush's appears to be considering the play date.

"Bush’s Beans is flattered by both Julie Klausner and her fans’ interest in Duke," Bush's told Mashable. According to the company, Duke is taking some "much needed time off this summer to enjoy cookouts with his best friend, Jay."

The company claims to be checking the dog's schedule, and a meetup should be in the works soon.

Could Bush's be worried that Klausner will steal the secret recipe from Duke? Maybe, but the comedian promises that's not part of her agenda.

"I have no interest in stealing any recipes or doing anything devious," says Klausner. "I just want to pet Duke. I might give him a hug or a cookie too."

We've captured the conversation below in what might be the oddest, yet most hilarious campaign the Internet has yet witnessed.
