Johnson, 8-0 at home with only 12 goals allowed, turned aside 29 shots as the Eastern Conference leading Bruins completed a sweep of the three-game season series with the Hurricanes. The winning streak is the longest for Boston since a 10-game run in November 2011 and the Bruins have outscored their opposition 32-12 during the streak. David Krejci had three assists, Jarome Iginla scored his 22nd and 23rd goals of the season and Milan Lucic scored his 21st of the season and had two assists. - - - Flyers 4, Penguins 0 Matt Read scored twice, goaltender Steve Mason made 25 saves and the Philadelphia Flyers blanked the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0 in their first meeting in four months. The Flyers, holding the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, moved within one point of the New York Rangers for the No. 4 seed. The Metropolitan Division-leading Penguins (44-18-4) were missing two of their top three goal scorers in Chris Kunitz (31 goals) and James Neal (22 goals). - - - Canadiens 5, Senators 4 (overtime) Defenseman Francis Bouillon scored his first goal of the season 1:26 into overtime to complete the Montreal Canadiens' stunning 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Ottawa Senators. Montreal center David Desharnais tied it 4-4 with 0.3 of a second left in regulation as the Canadiens scored three times in the final 3:22 of the third period to erase a 4-1 deficit. Center Lars Eller scored at 16:38 to make it 4-2 and right winger Brian Gionta drew Montreal to within one. Left winger Daniel Briere also scored for Montreal, which ended a three-game losing streak. Ottawa center Jason Spezza and left winger Clarke MacArthur each had a goal and an assist, and goaltender Robin Lehner made 43 saves. Right winger Ales Hemsky scored his first Ottawa goal and center Zack Smith also had a goal for the Senators. - - - Blues 4, Predators 1 Center Patrik Berglund scored the first two goals as St Louis closed out a five-game season sweep of the Nashville Predators with a 4-1 win. Right winger Vladimir Tarasenko and left winger Alexander Steen also scored for the Blues (46-14-7), who have collected points in their last eight games and remain atop the overall NHL standings with 99 points. Nashville (29-29-10) missed on a chance to extend their winning streak to a season-high four games. - - - Blue Jackets 2, Wild 1 (shootout) Center Artem Anisimov, center Mark Letestu and center Ryan Johansen scored in the shootout as the Columbus Blue Jackets stayed on a hot streak, beating the Minnesota Wild 2-1. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves for the Blue Jackets (35-26-6), who also got a rare goal from defenseman Dalton Prout in regulation, improving to 6-1-1 in their past eight games. Right winger Jason Pominville scored his team-leading 25th goal for the Wild (35-22-10), who lost for the third time in their past four games. Prout broke a scoreless deadlock that lasted almost all of the first two periods, finally getting a puck over the goal line with just 21.6 seconds remaining in the middle period. Pominville knotted the game at one early in the third. - - - Lightning 3, Devils 0 Goaltender Ben Bishop earned his first shutout in more than two months, setting a franchise record with his 31st victory of the season, as the Tampa Bay Lightning handed the New Jersey Devils a 3-0 loss. Bishop (31-11-6) broke the record set by Nikolai Khabibulin in 2002-03 and did so in dominant fashion, stopping all 19 Devils shots to lead the Lightning to its second straight win. Tampa Bay's first two goals came within a five-minute span of the second quarter, avenging two losses to New Jersey earlier this season. Winger B.J. Crombeen, Michael Kostka and Nate Thompson scored. - - - Islanders 4, Sabres 1 Goals from right wingers Kyle Okposo and Cal Clutterbuck and centers Frans Nielsen and Ryan Strome lifted the Islanders to a 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres in a battle of NHL bottom-dwellers. The Islanders (26-34-9, 59 points), who have the worst home record in the league, managed to take two points against the worst team in the NHL. Buffalo has 46 points in 67 games (19-40-8). - - - Coyotes 3, Flames 2 Phoenix forward Shane Doan scored his 350th career goal on a power play midway through the third period and goaltender Mike Smith turned aside 22 shots as the Coyotes beat the Calgary Flames 3-2. Doan redirected a shot from defenseman Keith Yandle at 8:49 of the third period to break a tie after the Flames had recovered from a 2-0 deficit with two power play goals in the second period. Yandle had two assists to boost his season total to 40, third among NHL defensemen. The Coyotes (32-25-11, 75 points) have won five of their last seven games and moved into a tie with the Dallas Stars for eighth place in the Western Conference. - - - Ducks 2, Kings 1 Anaheim wingers Pat Maroon and Tim Jackman scored goals, goaltender Frederik Andersen had 37 saves and the Ducks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 2-1. Anaheim (45-16-7) maintained the top spot in the Pacific Division with the winning goal scored less than a minute after the Kings (38-24-6) had forged the only tie of the game. Maroon gained possession in the left corner and his pass to middle was deflected by Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin into the net at 12:12 for his sixth goal of the season. The Kings appeared to score the tying goal with 6:23 left, but referee Rib Martell ruled Kings winger Marian Gaborik had interfered with Andersen to negate a potential score by Anze Kopitar. Los Angeles (38-24-6) got 18 saves from goaltender Martin Jones and lost its second consecutive home game after winning eight in a row. - - - (Editing by Peter Rutherford/Sudipto Ganguly)
