Hip-Hop Idol®, the first reality talent competition to focus on and showcase the best of urban talent, is officially launching their marketing campaign today. Auditions scheduled in 20 cities over the next nine months.

Hip-Hop Idol® gives exposure to talent that would otherwise remain undiscovered, to whom there is no reality TV search. The genres invited to compete have all played a role in the development of what is today the Hip Hop culture of America. Hip-Hop Idol® appeals to a variety of demographics ranging in age, gender and ethnicity. They also provide a positive educational experience by handing out brochures on HIV/AIDS awareness at each of their castings. It's about time for a TV show like this--so current and so relevant!
Registration is now open online at HipHopIdolTV.com and auditions begin via online submission or at your local scheduled radio station. Each contestant will have the chance to audition in a televised preliminary round where they will perform a 1:30 second sample of their song. All songs and beats must be originally produced and created. Three celebrity judges will then select the top 12 from all the cities. Those 12 will compete for the grand prize of $100,000 recording budget and a new car! Contestants will be judged based on pure talent, originality, stage presence and their ability to captivate an audience.
