    Home Elevator Company Nationwide Lifts Supports a New York Family on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"

    Home elevator company Nationwide Lifts assisted with building a home on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition by providing a Vision 830 elevator.

    Home elevator company Nationwide Lifts worked around the clock for several days last month to provide a Vision 830 elevator to “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.“ The team helped build a new home for the family of a girl with dwarfism. This episode featuring the Korpai family will air on ABC on Sunday, October 16 at 8:00 PM ET.

    The Vision 830 is a clear, cylindrical elevator 58 inches in diameter. The cab is lifted by two aircraft cables, driven by a smooth electric drive. Designed for residential applications with up to five levels and 50 feet of travel, it can also be used for commercial applications with two levels and up to 12 feet of travel. The spacious cab is also wheelchair accessible.

    Aside from the Vision elevator used for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” a square model with a 48 by 48-foot footprint is also available.

    Tim Lord, General Manager of Nationwide Lifts of the Carolinas, drove to New York from Raleigh, NC, to take part in the project. About the project, he stated, “This has been an unforgettable experience. It is amazing to see hundreds of people pulling together to make this project happen.”

    Sam DiGregorio, General Manager of Nationwide Lifts of Oregon, travelled from Portland, Ore., to the site. In regards to the elevator being installed, he said, “The Vision 830 elevator is the best product I’ve ever sold. Not only is it functional, it is a work of art.”

    The Vision 830 is manufactured by Visilift and sold exclusively through Nationwide Lifts in the United States. For the project, Jesse Simmons, Vice President of Visilift Elevators, flew in from Fort Collins, Colo. Jesse could be found on site 18 to 20 hours all week, working on the elevator and helping other contractors.
