Honduras officials says dropped cigarette may have caused fire that killed hundreds

So we are now supposed to forget the reports of a mayor receiving a phone call from an inmate threatening to start a fire?

Prisoners or not, what a horrible way to die!
I always believed that burning or drowning would be some of the worst ways to die.

The cigarette may have started the blaze, But Poor/Sub-standard conditions are what killed all the people.

Blame it on the smokers again. Where is the proof?

I wonder how many were able to escape during all the confusion? I would bet they will never be able to positively account for all the bodies.

If this fire occured in Honduras, why would the ATF in the US have anything to say? Were Americans killed?

Maybe they'll make a new one with steel and concrete like the rest of the world. Most prisons in south America are easy to burn down because their full of trash and anything else they can get inside like normal furnisher. There are very few guards who are easily bribed and inmates are allowed to have any weapon they can get their hands on including guns and grenades.

They give inmates so much food to cook who hand out themselves if they run out before you get any then you dont eat. They turn the water on for 1-2 hours a day if your lucky and inmates wait in line with buckets, pails or cups to get their water for the day. If water shuts off before you can get it then that's to bad for you. Some days they dont even turn it on. They dont care if you kill anyone, have more drugs than pablo escobar or your rolling around a nuclear bomb on a skateboard.

Its the worst place on the planet you'll ever want to be. For them to be in American prisons is no difrent than us hitting the lottery and living the dream. You can watch documentary vids online about these prisons that will blow your mind. They didn't put much effort trying to save those prisoners or stopping the fire to them. Its just another day in prison to them.

that why its kind of scary to live around other people loke in a barrack or apt ! your careful they are not ! this is the result! a lot of fires are cooking or smoking related!
