Hong Kong: Key index tumbles 1.55pc

SHARES tumbled 1.55 per cent yesterday following a second straight Wall Street sell-off.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index lost 365.31 points to 23,176.07 on turnover of HK$64.02 billion.

China Life Insurance slipped 0.96 per cent to close at HK$20.60, China Mobile eased 0.46 per cent to HK$75.80 and HSBC tumbled 1.19 per cent to HK$79.

Chinese Internet giant, Tencent retreated by 3.51 per cent to end the day’s trade at HK$120.9, Bank of China depreciated by 2.79 per cent to HK$3.49 and Luye Pharma was unchanged at HK$6.71. Agencies
