Hot weather sets records in the Dakotas
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Hot weather that blanketed North Dakota and South Dakota led to some weather records.
The National Weather Service says several cities in the western Dakotas set high temperature records on Tuesday, from Dickinson in North Dakota to East Rapid City in South Dakota.
Temperatures were in the 90s and the triple digits in the two states. The mercury climbed to 110 degrees in Buffalo, S.D.
A slight cool-down was in store Wednesday, with high temperatures forecast in the 80s and 90s in South Dakota and the 70s and 80s in North Dakota.
