A huge iPhone 6 Plus bug might end up being fixed by Samsung
Samsung will reportedly increase the number of components it supplies to Apple, as the South Korean giant will apparently provide additional iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch parts, according to Business Korea.
Specifically, Apple has apparently discussed NAND flash memory supply with Samsung, looking to do away with the triple-level cell (TLC) NAND flash used in 128GB iPhone 6 versions and SK Hynix, Toshiba and SanDisk TLC NAND modules in 64GB iPhone 6. These modules are believed to be causing certain performance issues for some users.

Recently, reports have revealed that higher capacity iPhone 6 handsets that have large application libraries experience constant crashes and reboots, with TLC memory being identified as the main culprit.
Additionally, Samsung will make batteries for the iPhone 6, the publication says. The company is already supplying DRAM flash memory for the iPhone 6 models.
Apple has apparently also asked Samsung to build the special chips intended to be used in the Apple Watch, according to the report.
In the past, Apple has tried to reduce its reliance on Samsung components for its iOS devices, following the complex legal quarrel between the two corporations, but Apple might have changed its mind since then. The iPhone maker has reportedly also contracted Samsung to make 14 nanometer A-series chips for the next iPhone, after moving to TSMC for iPhone 6 processors.
