("Booz Allen") today announced that it will separate its US government and
global commercial businesses, selling a majority stake in the US government
business to The Carlyle Group for $2.54 billion. This strategic realignment
will enable Booz Allen's two businesses to refocus on their distinct end
markets. Simultaneous with Carlyle's investment, Booz Allen's commercial
business will form a stand-alone company, which will be owned and operated by
the commercial officers. The transaction is expected to close in mid-late
2008, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals and other customary
closing conditions.

Conservative Icon, Phyllis Schlafly, Recognized with Honorary Degree from Washington University Fri May 16, 6:35 AM ET
Phyllis Schlafly, president and founder of the national pro-family organization Eagle Forum, will receive an honorary degree today from her alma mater, Washington University in St. Louis. Schlafly is best known as Americas most articulate and successful opponent of the radical feminist movement by leading the crusade against the Equal Rights Amendment from 1972 to 1982. She is the author of 20 books, including her 1964 best-selling publication, A Choice Not an Echo, and she has been widely credited for igniting the conservative movement that eventually led to Ronald Reagans landslide victory in 1980. Phyllis, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Washington University, having received her B.A. in Political Science in 1944 and her J.D. in 1978, will receive a Doctorate of Humane Letters.

A member of an Afghan
Taliban cell was convicted today by a jury in U.S. District Court for the
District of Columbia on charges of narcotics distribution and narco-terrorism,
Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division Alice S. Fisher
announced. The conviction represents the first time a defendant has been
convicted in U.S. federal court of narco-terrorism since the statute was
enacted in March 2006.

Senate Uses Iraq War Spending Bill to Advance Illegal Alien Amnesty and Cheap Labor for Employers, Charges FAIR Thu May 15, 8:07 PM ET
A supplemental appropriations bill intended to provide funding for the war effort in Iraq is being used to promote amnesty for illegal aliens and more low-wage guest workers for powerful business interests. The addition of two amendments to the Iraq War Supplemental Appropriations bill will mean that in order to provide emergency funding for our troops in Iraq, senators will be forced to approve an illegal alien amnesty and expand guest worker programs that harm American workers.

Charles E. Johnson Jr., the former CEO and Chairman of PurchasePro.com Inc., a now-defunct, publicly traded company that was headquartered in Las Vegas, was found guilty today of conspiring to commit securities fraud, securities fraud, witness tampering and obstructing an official proceeding, announced the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Department of Justice made the announcement today after U.S. District Judge Walter D. Kelley released his verdict in Johnsons bench trial which was completed in December 2007.
