Previously he was CEO of The Kelsey Group, where he led the company’s foray into developing proprietary research initiatives that offered an informed view of the local media and advertising sector. Under his leadership, BIA/Kelsey and The Kelsey Group launched advisory services focused on local search, verticals, mobile and social media.
Prior to joining The Kelsey Group, Polachek worked for a decade at Pacific Telesis Group (now AT&T) in a wide variety of management and leadership positions. These included roles in strategy and corporate development, business development, and sales management and operations. He spent nearly a year selling Yellow Pages advertising to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the Bay Area. Polachek speaks regularly at industry events in the United States and around the world.
