How to inhale your alcohol
“Drinking is so 2013,” says Vapshot, creator of a pair of alcohol vaporizers aimed at the discerning partygoer for whom dumping alcohol down one’s gullet is no longer appealing. Instead of doing shots the traditional way, the Vapshot and all new Vapshot mini turn your favorite liquid alcohol into a vapor that can then be injected into a serving bottle and sucked out with a straw. Yes, it sounds ridiculous, but get used to it — vapor is the latest trend and someday soon we might find ourselves inhaling our meals at a local restaurant.
“What if there was a brand new way to enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverages that’ll get the party started faster and won’t slow you down? Something new, trendy and sciency…yeah, we just made up that word,” Vapshot says on its website. “Introducing Vapshot vaporized spirits.”
The site goes on to explain that the new Vapshot mini is a smaller and more affordable version of the Vapshot, which is intended for use at bars and lounges. The Vapshot mini is a fraction of the cost and it’s portable, so you can bring it to any party.
According to the company’s website, the Vapshot mini will be shown off for the first time ever this week during Engadget’s “Engadget Live” event in Seattle on “Friday, July 17th” — a date that does not exist. In other words, Vapshot clearly works.
The Vapshot mini costs either $699 for the white model or $899 for the stainless steel version, and it comes with two serving bottles.
