Insanely cool Star Wars animated short will help tide you over until the movies
It’s going to be a long, excruciating wait for the next Star Wars movie, but some very creative fans are doing their best to make this difficult stretch as entertaining as possible for the rest of us.

What we want to share with you today is a 7-minute animated short four years in the making. Paul Johnson (OtaKing77077 on YouTube) finally published his ’80s anime-style tribute to the classic Star Wars game TIE Fighter on Tuesday, and it’s absolutely incredible.
Here’s everything you need to know about the short from Johnson’s description on YouTube:
“Drawn and animated by yours truly over 4 years’ worth of weekends, with music by the living guitar solo Zak Rahman and sound design by up and coming audio technician Joseph Leyva. Fans of Lucasarts’ seminal 1994 TIE Fighter game may notice a few familiar sights and sounds. That “incoming missile” noise gives me horrible flashbacks to this day…”
You can download the backing track on Zak Rahman’s Soundcloud page, the official poster is on Johnson’s DeviantArt and a PDF filled with character bios and story information were available at a Mediafire link, but that appears to be down at the moment.
