Come check out this exquisite collection and enter a $500 super shopping spree raffle. Luna Boutique's owner, Christina Spaulding, is hosting a Spring Trunk Show to introduce Igor Chapurin fashions to San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, March 26, 2011. Shoppers will be invited for vodka and caviar to set the theme for the premier show in the Bay Area, as Chapurin is currently Russia's number one fashion designer.
Moscow-based Mr. Chapurin, 42, graduated from the Vitebsk Technological College after which he was invited to Paris to represent Russia at the international festival of young fashion designers, hosted by the House of Nina Ricci.
He kicked off his career designing evening dresses for Russian contestants in Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Europe and Miss Russia competitions until he opened his first boutique fashion house, "Chapurin Couture" in Moscow in 1999, after receiving an award from Harper's Bazaar.
Chapurin continued with commissions for the Bolshoi Theater and costumes for stage productions, as well as a collaboration with Swarovski for the Russian gymnasts heading for the Olympic Games in 2004. Expanding from haute couture and pret-a-porter into jewelry, interiors, ski clothing and children's wear, Chapurin continued to grow and was honored by GQ Russia as "Man of the Year" in 2005.
His 10th anniversary collection was presented in October at Fashion Week in Paris.
Chapurin's collection is also represented at GUM, Red Square, the famous Moscow department store.
Visitors to Moscow will also discover Capurin's latest venture, CHAPURINBAR, a trendy gathering place on the social scene featuring modern cuisine and cutting-edge music.
Igor Chapurin is a busy entrepreneur who is trending for sure! His representative will be present at Luna Boutique for the Trunk Show in San Francisco, so come and say hello.
