Apple (AAPL) released iOS 6.1 to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices on January 28th and since then, users have reportedly experienced several problems. The company’s official Support Communities forum has been filled with complaints of reduced battery life and overheating issues that have occurred after users updated their devices, TheNextWeb reported. It has been suggested that the root of the problem comes from a bug in Apple Mail and Microsoft Exchange that is causing devices to enter an endless sync loop.

European carrier Vodafone has also issued a warning to customers about the latest iOS version. The company said in a statement released Monday that “some customers may occasionally experience difficulty in connecting to the network to make or receive calls or texts or to connect to the Internet.” Vodafone recommends that iPhone 4S owners do not install iOS 6.1 on their devices until the problem is fixed.

iPhone users won’t have to wait long for Apple to patch the problem, however. The company released iOS version 6.1.1 to developers last week and an update is expected to arrive on devices in the near future.
