iOS Ads Remover for Mac review
iOS Ads Remover for Mac promises to remove ads from apps on your iOS device. This is a good idea, but in our experience -- at least with this app -- it's too good to be true.
Pros
Easy to use: iOS Ads Remover is one of the less complicated apps we've tried. Just connect your iOS device, let the app scan it, and a list of your installed apps will appear, with a note about whether or not the app contains ads. Select the app you want to remove ads from, click Remove, and the app will -- in theory -- remove the ads.
Cons
It doesn't actually work: It turned out that we only had two apps on our phone that contained ads: Facebook and a local weather app. We selected both of these and asked iOS Ads Remover to do away with the ads, but after the app had finished, we noticed absolutely no difference in either app. Even after we restarted both apps, the ads were still present.
Bottom Line
Our sample size was admittedly small, and we suppose it's possible that iOS Ads Remover might work on other types of ads or with other apps. But in our experience, this app wasn't worth the time it took to install it.
