IPad sales cannibalized by iPhone, Macs: Cook
Apple's iPad sales are being challenged by both the new iPhone 6 Plus and the company's computers, CEO Tim Cook said on the tech giant's quarterly earnings conference call.
"Have we had cannibalization? The answer is yes," Cook said on the call Monday, according to a transcript from TheStreet.com. "We're clearly seeing cannibalization from iPhone and on the other side from the Mac. And of course, as I've said before, we've never worried about that."

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) got $5.4 billion in revenue from iPads in the latest quarter, while its computers, including MacBooks and desktop Macs, contributed $5.6 billion, the company reported.
While those figures could be due to pricing, the number of iPads sold fell to 12.6 million from 16.4 million a year earlier.

Apple sold 61.2 million iPhones, representing 40 percent year-over-year growth, helped by the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, said the company's CFO, Luca Maestri, on the call.
Mac sales grew 10 percent year over year, to 4.6 million units, largely helped by the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro released in March, Maestri said.
