Here’s how the iPhone 6 Plus feels to someone who’s never owned a smartphone

Supply meets demand: All models of the iPhone 6 are now in stock

Believe it or not, there are some people out there who don’t own smartphones and have been sticking with feature phones all these years. One such person recently wrote on Reddit about his experience in going from using a feature phone to using the iPhone 6 Plus, a massive device that’s about as far away from an old-school Motorola RAZR as you can get.

So what was it like to make the jarring transition from an old-school mobile phone to a gigantic high-powered mobile computer? As the iPhone 6 Plus buyer tells it, the biggest initial concern was how comfortably it would fit in his pocket since he obviously never had a problem with fitting his much smaller feature phone into his pockets. However, once the user actually tried it out for an extended period, he realized it was a nonissue.

The bigger challenge, it seems, comes from trying to use the phone with just one hand, which definitely required some major adjustments.

“One-handed use is quite the challenge,” he writes. “I find myself envying my wife and her iPhone 6 sometimes with regards to this because there are a lot of instances when one-handed use is preferable. Maybe I’ll get more adept at using it one-handed, get a more agreeable case, but for now it scares me one-handed.”
