Now that Gilad Schalit has been freed, I ask all of those who believe in the power of prayer to pray for the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, a U.S. soldier that is a hostage in Afghanistan. Let us pray that he too might be reunited with his family by this Christmas season.

Palestinians in Israeli prisons should be fed as Gilad Shalit was fed by Hamas and treated as such.

Do not forget the FOGEL family!
Killing an infant and children by slashing and cutting them to death, along with their mother and father.
This is the sheer face of evil. I cannot imagine the trauma the little girl who was not at home during the attack experienced when she came home to this horrific scene.
For the people who want to justify, defend and excuse the slashing and stabbing to death of babies and children- there are things in this world that always are wrong.
No matter how much you hate the Jews, these were children

Yesterday the Israeli military said he was in good health. Spin?

Instead of keeping the blooded terrorists in jails Israel should've executed them. That would've prevented the unnecessary kidnapings. And for those that are in jails the conditions should resemble the same that were offered to Shalit. That way Hamas would've been more quick to agree to a swap.

It's a scary thought... Putting 1,027 murdering criminals back in society. Something tells me that a lot of "honor" killing will be taking place, and ofcourse brushed off by the Palestinian government

The world now can see how those terrorists treat humanity. Still they want a Palestine state..lol.. First shows that you deserve it by showing your human values. Arab world still did not show to the world their peace values. Just get some few examples: See Iran: how ahmadinejad treats its people.. You do not need to be too smart to see that there is a huge poverty when their people are deprived from food, tv, water, etc. See what those terror groups caused to the world already: just sadness and misery.. Until they cannot proof they have human values they cannot receive any state.. In additon which country, after a war returned their gained land?? Why should Israel do it?? It makes no sense. of course not.. If they were great people, why the world does not want them?? Since I know just few countries accepted to house those criminals.. and still they fear leaving Israel jails.. where at least they received good meals and watched good channels tv.. Once in gaza, or Iran, or any muslim country they will be deprived of those privileges. Still they are celebrating?? what dumb!

Wow. I can;t think of any other country that would do such a thing. To place such a high value on one life is an unbelievable act of faith. How many more will die because of this? It does not matter because one life was saved today. Really, really amazing.

I fear for Gaza should they be foolish enough to do this again. 1000's will die in the next round of fighting.

I am not thrilled about so many releseased that did killings. We have ones in jail on death row that were falsely charged.
A basic med exam to say good shape does not mean he is healthy and-or won't have later health issues. It just means that serious acute critical issues are not seen at the initial time.
Malnourishment is a serious disease that can have major complications even on the heart.
This Zionist issue used to hate all Jews is just ridiculous. Wake up, its the year 2011 and like it or not, Jews and Palestinians exist. The fact not recognizing various groups to exist with respect is so backward. Every group deserves space and Arabs have around 25 countries. Training your kids to killl does not value life, but surely shows mass brainwashing. You can clearly see in remarks made to violent incidents such as the Fogels, or 911 the sickness.

This boy is the picture how arabs-terrorists treat humanity. I imagine what was given to feed this boy and which condition he was during captivity. It is not a cell, instead he stayed in a small hole under the soil.. It is a shame for ONU to give them a state. they do not deserve it, until proof that they can handle to care about people, their nation, and show many proofs of peace.. Maybe it is a hard task for them.

Shalit looks like he\'s been in a concentration camp; the Palestinians like they've been in a spa. Yet they still spout murder and hatred..

The zionist propaganda fest concerning Gilad continues. I hope the Israelis give him some rest, vitamin D, and sunshine before they parade him around. At least his head is in the right place, since he has stated he hopes the prisoner release will bring Peace.
    • David R  •  4 mths ago
Mosaad is 'shocked' that they were not able to get to Gilad first to prep him on what THEY wanted him to say about HIS captivity. Apparently Egypt knows the zionist propaganda machine very well and eliminated that possibility.
    • theverytrue  •  4 mths ago
I also think those murderers are victims of their own leaders.. Being brainwashed to become a suicide bomber does not show that their country cares about them.. I am happy they release the boy ALIVE.. The last trade they betrayed the deal and returned 2 dead body( in 2008). I cannot imagine how Israel could deal with abnormal people, because Hamas group is made my cannibals, they are not normal people at all.

If Sgt. Gilad Schalit is suffering from malnutrition, then let's go after the nation that has a stranglehold over the food supply of Gaza. Do the Israel lovers here think Shalit is the only malnourished person n Gaza?

"... video released by the military showed him being helped into an army jeep after crossing the border into Israel, and walking gingerly down a set of steps from a military caravan after changing his clothes into a fresh army uniform. Still, military officials said a physical exam had found him to be in good shape."

Funny, David R, how you neglect to mention how many Israelis have been killed - women and children included - by the horrific rocket launches lobbed into Israel day after day, year after year.

Guessing you're a liberal who's blaming Israel for not negotiating Schalit's release earlier. How do YOU know they didn't try everthing possible short of release these 1,000 monsters. And do you honestly think for one second the Palestinians would act in good faith? They don't know the meaning of it.

I'm thrilled that Schalit is home and that he'll soon regain his lost health. He certainly appears to have been grossly mistreated.

"and second these Arab children and teens are taught from birth that Israel stole their nation, Palestine (even though no country exsisted, which is why they want to have the UN declare one in 2011--Today). They are also encouraged to attack Jews and those that do, are made into heroes. Spending time in an israelly prison is a great badge of courage to them--the more heinious the crime (the longer the sentence) the greater the honor. Most are proud of the murders they perform and have no remorse--They are heroes to their people. I think, while Hamas will go around celebrating this as some great victory, it exposes their ugly underbelly. They honor murderers of innocent civilians and in many cases women and children. They kidnapped this one poor young man and held him without trial--without even following the rules of war. It's amazing how sick a society has made itself--because of hate--I feel sorry for them and their future generations and I feel sorry for Isael to have to deal with these people daily--they long to cheer the death of their own children if it means the death of yours. Wow!"
