The Jackass 3D movie trailer was released late Thursday night. The one minute 32 second montage shows Johnny Knoxville and the whole Jackass gang up to wincingly hilarious new bone-crushing stunts. The movie trailer is in 2D, so fans will have to wait until the October 15, 2010 movie release to see the 3D enhancements in theater.
Cast of Jackass 3D
The entire original cast will make appearances in Jackass 3D. This includes Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pointius, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Ryan Dunn, Preston Lacey (also the writer), Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, John Taylor and Edward Barbanell.
Jeff Tremaine returns as director and Derek Freda is the executive producer.
Jackass 3D Movie Trailer Highlights
"When TIME magazine called 3D the future of movies, we doubt this is what they had in mind," touts the ominous and slightly bad-ass intro before Johnny Knoxville ramps a jet ski into a hedge. This stunt won't faze most Jackass aficionados, so luckily it gets gnarlier from here.
Next up is Steve-O in a port-a-potty. Instant gross-out gratification is at hand, when he is sling shot by bungee cords into the air - toilet, fecal matter and all.
There is an almost 'Duck Hunt' setup where someone bounces off an inflatable blob over a lake. Eight of the Jackass crew shoot paintballs at him with wild abandon.
A gorilla is let loose in an apartment. Of course parents are present.
In a strange setup that include Santa suites, Bam Margera rides, well falls, down a cut down pine tree.
The trailer ends with "Wee Man" high-fiving Knoxville in the face with a giant hand, knocking him flat on his..umm...back.
Will 3D Technology Make Jackass Better?
If you thought Jackass pointless before, chances are 3D technology isn't going to suddenly have you shouting, "Oscar!"
Since the trailer isn't in 3D, we don't know for sure how awesome (or not) the movie will turn out. But knowing how the Jackass crew rolls, I'm guessing this daredevil ride will include actual arms-over-the-face head ducking to go along with the wincing. Smart money says there will literally be in your face repulsiveness, that may have the whole theater gagging.
