Jadeja bags 4-30 as Afghanistan dismissed for 159

MIRPUR, Bangladesh (AP) — Allrounder Ravindra Jadeja grabbed 4-30 with his left-arm spin as India dismissed Aghanistan for 159 in 45.2 overs in the Asia Cup on Wednesday.

Offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin also claimed 3-31 as India took control after electing to field.

For Afghanistan, which pulled off a surprise win over host Bangladesh, No. 8 batsman Samiullah Shenwari scored a fighting 50, to help his side pass 150 from 95-7 in the 26th over.

Opener Noor Ali Zadran chipped in with 31, and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Shahzad made 22, the only other scores in double figures.

India and Afghanistan have already been eliminated from contention for the final, which features Sri Lanka and Pakistan on Saturday.
