Jamie Chung Reveals the Reason She Has Never Watched Husband Bryan Greenberg in One Tree Hill

When it comes to watching your actor spouse in old films or TV shows, Jamie Chung thinks it's best to leave the past in the past.

The 32-year-old actress and fashion blogger told PEOPLE in this week's issue she's never seen an episode of One Tree Hill, which starred her now-husband Bryan Greenberg, 37.

"I remember we were in Austin, Texas, and kind of, like, being lazy and watching TV in the hotel room and his face popped up and he had kind of a moppy bowl haircut and a puka shell necklace, and I'm like 'What the hell?'" she explains. "I couldn't do it."

Although the 9-season show ended in 2012, Chung says the fan girls still exist – and even more are developing.

"It's crazy because it's now on Hulu or one of those sites where you can watch all the seasons, and it's kind of generated this new crop of fans. So I see a lot of younger girls who are like fanning out on Bryan and I'm like, 'Oh my God, that was like over 10 years ago,'" she says.

The couple, who married in October, tried to have a movie night where they watched one of each other's movies, but Chung says it was short-lived.

"It stopped pretty quickly," she says. "It's hard for either of us to watch old work. It's crunchy."

But now the couple will star in a new movie – together – for the first time.

Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong, stars Greenberg and Chung as a young couple in Hong Kong who fall in love.

Chung says they read the script out loud together and immediately felt connected to the storyline.

"We were like, wow, this is kind of similar to how we met in real life," she reveals. "Because it's all about missed opportunities and just right timing, right? So you meet somebody who really piques your interest, but you're in a relationship and so you put things off and then you run into each other again."

Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong is currently in theaters.
