Japan's Amari - consumer prices flat after oil price fall

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese Economics Minister Akira Amari said on Friday that consumer prices are basically flat as a decline in oil prices has been slowing inflation. Amari was speaking to reporters at a regular news conference after data showed that core consumer inflation fell below 1.0 percent in October, excluding the impact of a sales tax increase in April, as energy prices fell.
