He promotes drug dealin #$%$ Jay z. he is a good businessman but has no intention on teaching the children and makes them think they should sell drugs to be an entrepreneur. Real blacks say #$%$ him
      • Mike K 3 mths ago
acting like he told u to sell drugs! no Hov did that so hopefully u wouldn't have to go through that!
      • Tworldclass 3 mths ago
He acts like if u aint sell none u aint on his level. And u know this. Dont play mind games with me
      • Mike K 3 mths ago
yup maybe back in the late 90's when that was what he knew... but im pretty sure his lyrics have progressed since then. yeah first couple cd's were about cars and drugs but his later cd's were about bettering yourself and more about values! but lets be honest a certain type of rap sells hence why has money and rappers like common have little money. if anything be mad at the culture that wants drugs, hoes and cars over values and morals! u mad at the wrong person!

Everybody talk about talent and rap this man came from nothing to something give him some type of credit for his battle at the end of the day he got the fame the money and everything else that comes with it yet we sitting here downing him for his success think about it

      • Mike K 3 mths ago
yeah screw that billion dollar business!
      • CD 3 mths ago
It is a billion dollar business that comes with a lot of baggage....sorry I don't want my children listening to rappers sing about dope, violence, degrading women, proud of fathering children with unwed mothers, pants hanging off their arse, and gangs. Regard less of what money it generates, it doesn't make it good or acceptable.......
      • Mike K 3 mths ago
well be mad at the culture that makes it a billion dollar business! but since it is a billion dollar business, it deserves its dues also! so be mad at americans not people that talk about their REAL life experiences!

shouldn't this read "carnegie hall reaches new low"?
      • oodlesofnoodles 3 mths ago
Blurp, your jealousy is showing....you might wanna cover that up, it's disturbing!!!
      • Wai 3 mths ago
        Ouch!
      • Blurp 3 mths ago
Yes, Oodles, I am dreaming of one day becoming a semi-literate rapper. In the meantime, I will just have to be content watching this guy filch both the "fame" and the money which I deserve. Wait, you're being sarcastic, right?

Would have love to have gone there

What a joke!! Someone who can't sing and who doesn't play a musical instrument plays Carnegie Hall. Seriously people why do you buy this crap?? Would you hire a carpenter who doesn't know how to swing a hammer and drive a nail?? I think not. Yet you'll call someone who talks and yells over a beat and 3 note synth riff looping over and over a musician. It will never cease to amaze me. The dumbing down of our culture at it's best. I can only imagine what's next..........
      • d m 3 mths ago
lol and who are you again? does anyone really pay attention to no names?? interesting opinion and you can even get a hundred thumbs up but i'll assure that no one hears you. :)
      • Bruce 3 mths ago
Interestingly enough DM I am a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist that has sold quite a few CD's in my day and who does have a decent fan base. I am someone who actually sings and who actually plays musical instruments. So I do have a valid opinion on this subject and people do hear me. Although I admit I haven't made the millions of dollars that JZ has I am the real deal. So the question actually is better directed toward you instead of me, "and who are you again?" Obviously just someone who accepts crap in place of talent.
    • T Bone  •  3 mths ago
So much for the old saying about, "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?". Now, they just let ANYBODY in the friggin' doors.

Not surprised that the trash talkers that know nothing, see nothing and hear nothing are talking the most trash. That's Yahoo for ya.
    • CHIP  •  Nashville, Tennessee  •  3 mths ago
      can;t sing, talk...whatever he does...NO talent
    • Tworldclass  •  Issaquah, Washington  •  3 mths ago
Hes just doing it for bragging rights. #$%$ him. There are alot of rappers with more lyrical content. His rhymes are based on the newest clothes ,cars, etc.
    • Juanito, Diaz, Big Papi  •  3 mths ago
Hey Chip...have you ever been to his show or actually listened to a song? Surprising that you would make a comment like that coming from Music City USA
    • Brooks  •  Atlanta, Georgia  •  3 mths ago

Carnegie Hall reaches new low, hosting Jay-Z concert.
    • TrueEarth  •  3 mths ago
It baffles me why anyone would want to see rappers or heavy metal rocker bands anywhere, but especially at a venue like Carnegie Hall?
    • Weekendpartier  •  Newark, New Jersey  •  3 mths ago
