The actress played Sheen's love interest for eight episodes on Two and a Half Men and says Sheen should have told her about his diagnosis.

McCarthy said on her Sirius XM radio show: “I look back and I’m like, 'Okay, that would have been some valuable information.' I mean, not that you can obviously get it through kissing, but still that's a big deal.

“I have sympathy for him because, you know, he's sick and it's awful. But man, he's going to have some major accountability with many people in his life. I can't even imagine the girls.”

McCarthy then explained on Thursday morning: “In the acting world before we do a job we have to sign a piece of paper that says, 'Do you have cold sores?' You have to sign a release that says, 'Yes, I have cold sores.' You have to show the medication.

Sheen's manager responded in a statement: "Charlie was infected long after he left Two and a Half Men and long after he worked with Jenny."
