New Jersey governor sending 150 state police officers to Baltimore

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - New Jersey will send 150 state police officers to riot-torn Baltimore later on Tuesday to help bring calm to the city, said New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a Republican. Maryland officials requested the assistance, and the New Jersey police will initially stay for 72 hours, Christie said in several posts on Twitter.
