Jese open to Bernabeu exit

Jese undergoes knee surgery

Tottenham's reported interest in Jese Rodriguez is sure to have piqued after the Real Madrid midfielder revealed he could be keen on a move in the off-season. The Spaniard has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at the Bernabeu, having been used mostly in the Galacticos reserve squad, where he plundered 22 goals last season. The 20-year-old also impressed for his country at the Under-20 World Cup, and with Spurs thought to be keen on acquiring the winger's services, he has confirmed he could be open to a move away from the Spanish capital. "I want to play and I do not know if I will get many minutes in the Real Madrid first team," Jese said. Rodriguez had in June revealed he is set for talks with Madrid, but insisted he will most likely turn down any contract offers. "I don't know what the club wants with me. I assume they will want to offer me a renewal but I don't know what I will do. I am not going to lie about it," he told Marca.
