Hipsters are the worst. Hipsters at the Coachella Music Festival, however, take that designation to a whole other level.
Hipsters journey from all corners of North America to hear obscure bands that nobody else has heard of and pretend as if they are reliving Woodstock during the two weekend-long festival in Indio, Calif.
Obviously, the people at Coachella are ripe for mocking — so that’s exactly what Jimmy Kimmel did over the weekend.
The late night host sent a reporter to the festival to ask dumb hipsters if they were looking forward to hearing bands that do not actually exist, with the exception of Two Door Cinema Club, which is a real band.
Two chicks were thrilled for “Dr. Schlomo and the GI Clinic,” while some dude was super psyched for “Shorty Jizzle and the Pumblecrocks,” which the reporter billed as a mix between “Bob Dylan and a polka band.”
One girl said that she would not miss seeing “Get the Fuck Out of My Pool” and that she was excited for the “Chelsea Clintons” because they “give off good energy.”
We’re not sure about you, but we think “Regis and the Philbins” is actually a pretty good name for a band.
