‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ to Pair Unlikely Musicians for ‘Mash Up Mondays’

From the mind that spawned such hits as “I’m F—ing Matt Damon” and “Josh Groban Sings Kanye West Tweets,” Jimmy Kimmel has embarked on a new musical endeavor: “Mash Up Mondays.”

Every Monday in February, Kimmel will facilitate the fusion of two musical artists for a performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Weezer and ZZ Top will get things rolling on Feb. 2 under Jimmy’s moniker for them: “Wee-Z Top.” The next week will team alternative band Haim with Morris Day & The Time to create “Morris Day and the Haim,” with Aloe Blacc and Blackstreet joining forces the following week as “Aloe Blaccstreet.”

ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m.
