Joanna Lumley And Jennifer Saunders Look Ab Fab At The Stella McCartney Christmas Do

Less than 48 hours after Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders stole the spotlight at the British Fashion Awards as their Ab Fab alter egos Patsy and Eddy, the Ab Fab duo have headlined at another style-savvy event.
The always-fabulous pair rocked up at the British fashion designer’s Bruton street shop to switch on the Christmas lights – much to the delight of onlookers.

As part of the promotion for their much-anticipated movie “Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie”, which they’re currently in the middle of filming, the comedy duo were the guests on honour at the high-fashion event.
Snapped sipping on champers and rubbing shoulders with the likes of model Lily Cole and celebrity make-up article Charlotte Tilbury, they put on a typically raucous display while pressing the big gold button to turn on the lights.

Saunders was decked out in her usual kooky attire to channel the eccentric Edina Monsoon. The 57-year-old donned a big hat, mohair top, geometric print trousers and a sparkly top while Lumley opted for a more refined look, embodying Patsy Stone.
The 69-year-old teased her blonde looks into her character’s famous beehive, covered up in a chic camel coat (from Stella McCartney, obvs) and applied oodles of red lippy.

Meanwhile the belle of the ball, McCartney herself, struck a regal figure in a floor-length black dress, matching blazer and clutch.
Actress Salma Hayek was also in attendance, but kept a low profile in a big hat and glasses – a far cry from the cleavage-baring look she donned for the British Fashion Awards on Monday night.
Former “Downton Abbey” star Jessica Brown Findlay wowed in a one-shoulder jumpsuit, while former Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton kept things simple in a blazer and trousers.
