Poor Joe Biden. The vice president doesn’t seem to realize that when he speaks, he has to make some semblance of sense.
Biden made two big uh-ohs Wednesday during a campaign stop in Virginia, which is not the same thing as North Carolina.
“With you, we can win North Carolina again!” Biden told the Virginia crowd.
In the same speech, Biden angered conservative pundits when he told the largely African-American audience that Mitt Romney would “put y’all back in chains.”
At least Biden will get a good rest this weekend. His official schedule has been wiped clean in order for him to take a long weekend at his home in Delaware.
It looks like somebody got a timeout.

When Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan – whose platform is built around opposing and cutting government spending -- told an ABC affiliate in Ohio that he never requested federal stimulus funds, what he meant was that he did, actually, request stimulus funds.
“I never asked for stimulus,” Ryan said Wednesday. “I don’t recall…so I really can’t comment on it. I opposed the stimulus because it doesn’t work, it didn’t work.”
However, uncovered letters show that Ryan asked for millions of stimulus dollars for two energy projects in his Wisconsin congressional district in 2009.
On Thursday, Ryan (sort of) copped to the request with a statement:
“… I checked into them, and they were treated as constituent service requests in the same way matters involving Social Security or Veterans Affairs are handled,” Ryan said. “This is why I didn’t recall the letters earlier. But they should have been handled differently, and I take responsibility for that.”
A politician taking responsibility?! Unheard of.

Have no fear: Donald Trump is always here to fill out the list of the week’s dumbest political quotes. Rarely does one need to look further than his Twitter feed to find a gem or two. (Or three.)
This time, the millionaire mogul took to social media to ask his readers one simple question.
In between tweeting congratulations to Jennifer Aniston on her engagement and bragging about his all-time attendance record at World Wrestling Entertainment events, Trump tweeted: “What's more dangerous for the country--the Iranian nuclear threat or @BarackObama as President?”
What Trump omitted from his rhetorical question, however, was whether “Celebrity Apprentice” or his atrocious toupee is more dangerous for the country.
