John Stamos Pleads No Contest to DUI, Will Not Face Jail Time

John Stamos, who was charged with a DUI this summer, pleaded “no contest” Tuesday morning in his Los Angeles arraignment hearing, a L.A. District Attorney’s Office spokesperson confirmed. The “Full House” star will not face any jail time or community service, and will be put under three years of probation.

Tuesday morning at Airport Courthouse in L.A., the actor’s lawyer Blair Berk entered a plea of no contest, though Stamos was not present at the courthouse.

Along with his 36 months of informal probation, Stamos will also pay a $390 fine for the DUI misdemeanor and will have to attend a DMV class, a three-month alcohol abuse program for first-time DUI offenders, two hours of addiction counseling from a private physician and 52 AA meetings utilizing a 12-step program.

Currently starring on Fox’s fall sitcom “Grandfathered,” which airs its special Thanksgiving episode tonight, Stamos’s probation and other minor duties are not expected to impact production, though Fox had no comment on Tuesday’s events, nor has the network commented on any matter surrounding the DUI incident.

Following his June 12 arrest in Beverly Hills, Stamos was officially charged with the DUI on Oct. 15, and faced up to six months in jail, if he were to be convicted.

Stamos was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was placed under arrest, after the Beverly Hills Police Department received numerous calls, complaining about an erratic driver. Stamos, who’s set to appear in Netflix’s “Fuller House” reboot early next year, was in the vehicle by himself.

At the time, he tweeted: “Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.”
